WHY DO I WANT TO WORK WITH WOMEN?
To help women find their healing journey and step into their authentic self-expression and confidence (just like I did!).
As a woman of color (Black and Indigenous background), I aim to be the leader I never got to see growing up. Learn more about my experience as a BIWOC woman here.
My Darkness
I was sexually assaulted as a young teen which created strong layers of fear and insecurity as I developed into a woman. I never truly healed from this traumatic experience. Instead, I solidified myself into a victim role and a magnet for toxic relationships, friendships, and work environments. This pattern of toxic connections eventually led to my ‘rock bottom’ moment: a very traumatic physically & emotionally abusive incident with an ex partner. In this moment I knew I could not continue this way. I needed to finally take that fearful first step towards my true healing journey.
My Awakening
When I took that first fearful step to true healing, I never looked back. My healing journey started in Thailand with a women’s empowerment course that totally lit my path. For the first time, I was guided to trust myself, to listen to my intuition, and to establish boundaries against the previous toxicity I had freely allowed into my life.
I was guided to connect to my feminine spirituality which allowed me to finally drop those thick layers of fear and insecurity I had built up since a young teen. With those layers gone, I was able to connect to my distinct calling: to help women on their true healing journeys just as I had done. I took the plunge to help women and started offering women’s circles.
This sacred space that I created opened the gates to so much goodness. Women were sharing with me how moving and emotional the circles were for them. They were learning to connect to their womb-space for the first time in their entire lives. Women were sharing stories that were deeply releasing for them but also reminding the other sisters that they are not alone in their experiences.
My Rise & Flow
I continued learning about the deep feminine with Uma Tuli Dinsmore (PhD, author of Yoni Shakti). Uma’s TTC courses were life changing. Her teachings called me to embrace my feminine experiences...to love my menstruation, to look forward to menopause! For the first time, my feminine experiences became a source of empowerment instead of a source of worry and burden.
I slowly created Wild Womb in the summer of 2019 drawing on my overseas learnings and healing journey. Wild Womb guides women to show up in the world as their MOST authentic selves by embracing their feminine experiences, sexuality and creativity. I use a combination of yoga therapy, yoga nidra, and community to support all women’s unique healing paths to authentic self-expression and empowerment.
I’m in my final year at AJNA YOGA to be a certified as a Yoga Therapist.
Jai Ma! (Victory to the Divine Mother, may we bring her awareness into our lives)
